Was a Great Success!!!

Up to 50 people poured into each participating Warrensburg business yesterday to pick up their raffle ticket, giving them a chance to win one of 30 valuable gift certificates donated by local businesses worth between $10 and $100. This turnout is great for a small town on a Saturday, especially with such cold weather. Many stores saw lots of new faces. One woman got so excited she spent over $3,000 in the town on that one day. Over 125 people converged on George Henry’s Bar & Grill throughout the day to drop off their tickets and pick up a free ADK Buck. and many stayed for a fun evening with great music, food and comraderie. Thank you to everyone.

And the fun goes on. Take your Bucks to the 2nd Annual Adirondack Bucks Christmas Market on Thursday, December 5 from 6-9 PM at the Free Methodist Church, 250 River Street. This is the kick off for the Christmas in Warrensburg weekend. Here you can enjoy local music, a buffet, a farmer’s market, crafts and more and spend your ADK Bucks.

Our ad was:
“Stop at any store that has a “Buy Local” sign and pick up your map and list of participating stores. The stores will not only have surprises and bargains but each one will give you a free raffle ticket. The more stores you visit the more chances you have to win one of many local prizes!! Bring all your tickets to George Henry’s Bar and Grill by 4 PM. There we will have a great time and good food. The raffle drawing will take place there some time after 4. You can also purchase chances there to win the 50/50 grand prize!  You don’t have to be there to win. This event is sponsored by the Greater Warrensburgh Business Alliance in cooperation with the Adirondack Cooperative Economy. Oh, and did I tell you we will also be giving away some free ADK Bucks to use at the ADK Xmas Market on Dec 5th? We can’t wait to see you there!”
