“WHAT CAN THE PEOPLE OF NEW YORK DO ABOUT THEIR
GOVERNMENT AND THE RULE OF LAW?”
Robert Schulz, founder of We The People of New York, will address the failure of elections and judges to hold government accountable to the Rule of Law in New York State, and the opportunity provided by another basic Right guaranteed by the Constitutions for New York State and the United States.
Schulz will speak about the need for “THE EXPERIMENT.”
WHAT: An experiment to demonstrate the ability of the people to hold the government accountable to our state and federal constitutions and laws without relying on judges or elections.
WHY: To achieve a significant shift in the ultimate power in our State, from the government to the people where it was meant to reside in the first place.
WHEN: Before September 1st, 2014.
HOW: Three percent of the citizens of the state to sign a first amendment petition to remedy the failure of the governor, the state board of regents and the commissioner of education to comply with section 801 of the NY Education Law, which mandates that all teachers of this state must teach all children of this state from grade eight on, the “history, meaning, significance and effect of every provision of the Declaration of Independence, the Constitution for the United States and the Constitution for the State of New York.”
The Petition For Redress, with at least 600,000 signatures on a CD, is served on the governor and the Board of Regents.
Appropriate, intelligent and rational civic action follows, depending on responsiveness of the response from those petitioned.
