Adirondack Cooperative Economy Trade Network

The Adirondack Cooperative Economy (ACE) is presently creating  a trade network (see list of members and their offerings) using  its own paper currency (Adirondack Bucks) as a convenience in this exchange (the original intention of money).   You can exchange goods and services with your friends and neighbors as well as support your local businesses. The currency is backed by our respective goods, services and skills and by the trust we place in eachother – a rare commodity these days. This system is legal and taxable in the same way as with the use of the US$. An online trading system, a  mutual credit exchange, is presently being developed that will suit our rural area.
